Successful therapeutic relationships thrive on flexibility rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach. While various therapy methodologies claim to be the definitive solution, nearly all can be valuable when tailored to specific situations. I believe in customizing therapy to fit your unique circumstances and adapting as we progress toward your goals. My approach is balanced—I draw from a diverse toolkit of therapeutic techniques to find what resonates best with each client or couple.
For this reason, I do not accept insurance and do not provide Superbills for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
At times, you simply need someone who listens attentively—a seasoned professional with years of experience and clinical expertise—to help you work through the challenges that are hindering your path to a fulfilling life.
Conflict naturally arises in relationships, and how you handle it shapes your connection. Busy schedules or a wish to avoid conflict can cause couples to drift apart, feeling more like roommates than partners. I specialize in rekindling connections and restoring friendship, teaching effective conflict resolution, rebuilding trust, and enhancing intimacy in your relationship.
My mission is to provide compassionate therapy where genuine connections are swiftly forged. I am dedicated to understanding and supporting each client's unique journey with empathy and expertise, fostering a safe space for healing, growth, and lasting positive change.
I want my office to feel warm and inviting so that everyone feels comfortable and welcome.
With over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist and an additional 15 years providing community-based social services, I bring a wealth of professional knowledge and expertise to my practice. On a personal note, I am also a wife, mother, and grandmother, which gives me valuable practical experience and empathy. Throughout my career, I have trained in numerous treatment modalities, allowing me to tailor my approach to each client's unique needs. My therapy style is eclectic, strengths-based, and insight-oriented, all within an affirming, non-judgmental environment seasoned with warmth and humor. While I am experienced in addressing a wide range of issues, I have a particular interest in Life Transitions and Couples/Relationship Issues.

I listen. I have training in many different treatment approaches but you are the expert on you. It's important to me that you feel heard and respected, and that my office is a safe space for you to address whatever is important to you and/or may be negatively impacting your life. I believe that genuine warmth and support, with a dash of humor, creates the safe environment needed to do the work necessary to achieve your goals.
The "fit" between therapist and client is very important, and a huge predictor for the success of therapy. I tell all my clients to be a good consumer of services, which means speaking up if something doesn't feel right so we can discuss it. Trust is an important aspect of any relationship. Trust is built when you can safely talk about whatever is troubling to you and feel heard without fear of judgement or criticism.
PLEASE NOTE - I am no longer accepting insurance, for either couples or individuals.
My fees:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your effective Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill with your provider. Your estimate will be discussed with you and updated based on your needs.
